Tottenham Hotspur warmed up for the Premier League return last night.
In the last of their mid-season friendlies, Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw with Nice in North London.
Antonio Conte’s side are gearing up for a Boxing Day visit to Brentford now and this would’ve got some more players up to speed ahead of that.
Another player who needed the minutes was Japhet Tanganga.
The Tottenham-raised defender has barely played this season due to injury and being out of Conte’s plans.
So far, he’s only earned 17 minutes of competitive action since the 2022-23 campaign began and here’s a couple of photos of him last night.

Tanganga, labelled ‘amazing’ by Jose Mourinho in 2020 [Standard], is a brilliant prospect but it remains to be seen how much he is rated by the Italian manager.
He has long been linked with a transfer to AC Milan among others and that could be something the Italian giants look at again in the New Year.
Having said that, he’s still only 23.
Tanganga has his whole career ahead of him and who knows, now that he’s fit again he could potentially fight his way into contention at Tottenham under Conte.
After all, it’s not as if the Italian is blessed with a multitude of world-class defenders, is it?
