Kostas Tsimikas has berated the ‘bad luck’ which has resulted in a new Luis Diaz injury at Liverpool.

The Colombia international hasn’t kicked a ball for the Reds since a defeat by Arsenal in October.

Diaz travelled with his Liverpool teammates on a warm-weather training camp to Dubai and he looked firmly on the comeback trail.

But earlier in December, it was reported that the former Porto winger – a £49 million signing last January – that the player would be now sidelined until March at the earliest, as covered by HITC Sport.

With Diogo Jota also absent, it’s a terrible blow for a Liverpool side that can’t really do without either.

And his Greek teammate has lamented the ‘sad’ development about his colleague at Anfield.

He told The Athletic: “It’s such bad luck for Luis and I feel very sad for him. Thankfully, he’s very strong mentally and physically. I wish him a speedy recovery and every single one of us will be there for him along the way. We’ll be waiting for him.”

You feel that Liverpool will definitely have to sign at least one winger during the January transfer window.

As mentioned, Jota is also absent and it really is a double hammer blow for Jurgen Klopp.

Even when Klopp had the duo available, they still struggled for much of the campaign.

So lord only knows how the Merseysiders would do without either, if they aren’t replaced.
