£16 million-rated Serie A starlet Fabiano Parisi admits he is flattered by such incessant interest with Premier League outfit Leeds United in the race for the much-coveted Italy U21 international, speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.
In only his second season as a Serie A regular, Parisi’s reputation appears to be on a never-ending upward trajectory.
His agent admitted a couple of months ago that the likes of Leeds United, Torino, Fiorentina and Nice were showing an interest. Now, you can add some of the biggest clubs on Italian soil to his ever-growing throng of suitors.
Juventus, Napoli, Inter Milan, for instance.

“I am very pleased that the great clubs are following me,” Parisi explains. “But today I am concentrating only on Empoli. We will talk about the transfer market in June.”
Leeds United like Fabiano Parisi of Serie A outfit Empoli
Mario Giuffredi, Parisi’s representative, believes that a big-money move will come the 22-year-old’s way at some point in 2023. As things stand, it looks more likely to arrive in June than January. Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi hopes to retain Parisi’s services until the summer; a side once coached by Maurizio Sarri hardly safe from relegation as yet.
Empoli are currently 13th in the Serie A table. But there are just four points separating them from the relegation zone.
Empoli, TMW believe, would only consider selling Parisi in the winter if the buying club would be willing to loan him back to the Stadio Carlo Castellani for the remainder of 2022/23.
Parisi, meanwhile, is one of just a number of talented left-backs on Leeds’ radar. The Elland Road outfit need reinforcements on the flank, with both Junior Firpo and Stuart Dallas suffering with injury. Pascal Struijk continues to fill in on the left for the time being.
Leeds remain admirers of Philadelphia Union’s set-piece specialist Kai Wagner. Jesus Vazquez of Valencia is another option. Interestingly, the Spain U21 international set up three goals in just 60 minutes as the La Liga giants battered Leeds’ U21s 8-0 in a friendly clash during the World Cup break.
