La Liga giants Valencia could let youngster Jesus Vazquez leave for just £3.5 million in the January transfer window as Leeds United look to bring the teenager to the Premier League, according to Tuttosport.
In an ideal world, 19-year-old would prefer to stay and fight for his place at the Mestalla. But Vazquez is no fool.
With Toni Lato and Spain international Jose Luis Gaya ahead of him in Gennaro Gattuso’s pecking order, El Desmarque reports that Vazquez would have no qualms about upping sticks and moving elsewhere if he feels first-team opportunities are not forthcoming at Valencia.

And this is where Leeds United come in.
Leeds United are battling Serie A clubs for Jesus Vazquez of Valencia
As Crycensio Summerville, Wilfried Gnonto and Illan Meslier will attest, age is no object at Elland Road. If you’re good enough, you are indeed old enough. Vazquez will only turn 20 in January. But a lack of options on the left-hand side for Jesse Marsch suggests that Valencia’s third-choice left-back could become Leeds’ first pick in that very same position.
With Junior Firpo and Stuart Dallas absent, Pascal Struijk has been forced to fill in out wide.
Vazquez has a £34 million release clause in his contract. Tuttosport, however, believe that Valencia may be willing to sell for around 10 per cent of that fee. Serie A outfit Torino are set to offer £2.5 million, with Los Che holding out for £3.5 million.
Vazquez, during a friendly clash with Leeds’ U21s earlier this month, certainly showed what all the fuss is about. The Spain U19 international set up three goals in just 60 minutes; a relatively full-strength Valencia side cruising to an 8-0 win on Spanish soil.
Leeds have also been linked with Philadelphia Union’s set-piece specialist Kai Wagner. Fabiano Parisi of Empoli is another left-back target. Parisi’s agent admitted back in September that Leeds had taken an interest in the £14 million-rated Italian.
