CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has explained how Liverpool could sign Jude Bellingham, even if they fail to secure Champions League football in 2023.
Recently, Bild journalist Christian Falk revealed that the Reds are ahead of Real Madrid in the race to sign the England international.
Interestingly, the German reporter even claimed that the £130 million-rated (via the Daily Mail) gem’s family are keener on a switch to Merseyside than Madrid.
Falk has even mentioned that Bellingham himself feels he would become a leader at Liverpool, as well as one of the main men (via The Anfield Wrap)
Bild have also stated that Jurgen Klopp is personally spearheading the club’s chase to sign the World Cup hero.
After a list of positive updates surrounding the coveted midfielder and the English giants, another one has emerged.
Jacobs on how Liverpool could seal Bellingham deal without Champions League football
As per the latest information provided by CBS reporter Ben Jacobs, Liverpool could win the race to sign Jude Bellingham, even if they falter in their pursuit of Champions League qualification for next season.
“Chelsea have an active interest too, but are not frontrunners. Failure to qualify for the Champions League may not be a dealbreaker, though, and that applies to Liverpool too.”
“But convincing Bellingham to join without the Champions League will be down to a trust in the project, hence why Liverpool are in a strong position since they have laid more groundwork than most.”
This update is a huge positive for the Reds

While Liverpool have seen an improvement in their recent results, they remain 7 points adrift of top four after 16 Premier League games.
And in a race for Champions League that involves the likes of Tottenham, Man United, Chelsea and Newcastle, things are not set to get any easier for the Merseyside-based side.
While most would predict Jude Bellingham to join clubs set to qualify for Europe’s elite competition such as Real Madrid and Man City, the fact that he would be open to joining a side that may potentially not such as Liverpool is hugely positive news for the club.
