Arsenal are in Dubai at the moment, as Mikel Arteta’s side get ready for the second half of the season. One of the players training in the United Arab Emirates is Marquinhos, and as you can see from his post on Instagram below, his Gunners teammate Bukayo Saka is pleased to see that.

Marquinhos, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, has posted photos of him in training with the Arsenal players in the camp in Dubai.

And Saka, who is playing for England at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, has reacted positively to that.

Linked away

Marquinhos moved to Arsenal from Brazilian club Sao Paulo in the summer of 2022.

The 19-year-old is clearly a player for the long term, but he has already played for the Gunners’ first team.

The teenager has played just one minute in the Premier League for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season.

Marquinhos has also made two starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Europa League for the Gunners, scoring one goal in the process.

The Brazilian player has played once in the Carabao Cup.

Marquinhos has actually been linked with moves away from Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The Sun reported in September 2022 that Arsenal are considering sending the teenager out on loan in the January transfer if they are able to sign a new winger.

It will be interesting to see what Arteta does with the Brazilian when the transfer window opens next month.
