Leeds United want Boulaye Dia and have now expressed a firm interest in signing the Salernitana striker amid links to West Ham United.
The Whites were interested in signing a striker over the summer but could’t quite get a move over the line.
Charles De Ketelaere and Arnaud Kalimuendo were just a couple of names mentioned but both ended up elsewhere.
That meant Leeds ended the summer window without a clear number nine signing and Jesse Marsch really needs one in 2023.

Leeds United want Boulaye Dia
The Whites continue to be linked with striker and a new name in the mix is Boulaye Dia.
Tutto Salernitana report state that four Premier League clubs have expressed a firm interest in signing Dia.
Leeds are one of them as they join Everton, Leicester City and West Ham United in the race for his signature.
Dia is only on loan at Salernitana from Villarreal and it’s noted that Salernitana can turn the move permanent for €12million (£10.5million).
It’s suggested that Salernitana will activate that soon, with the hope of keeping Dia for the long-term but also understanding that they could make a quick profit.
Dia, 26, hit 16 goals in his final season at Reims before being snapped up by Villarreal in the summer of 2021.
Just five La Liga goals saw Villarreal lose faith in Dia and they sent him off to Salernitana, where he has scored six times in 14 games.
Whilst born in France, Dia plays for Senegal on the international stage and scored against Qatar at the World Cup on Friday.
That display was bound to attract more interest and here we are – four Premier League clubs are vying for Dia’s signature.
Sadio Mane admitted in 2021 that he was ‘really impressed’ with Dia and Leeds will now hope to win the race for the talented striker.
