Danny Murphy has told BBC Sport’s live coverage of South Korea’s World Cup clash against Uruguay that Kim-Min jae could cost a huge figure of £100million – amid interest from Tottenham, Manchester United and other English sides.
Kim, 26, has been sensational since joining Napoli. Moving to the Serie A club in the summer, winning 17 of his 20 appearances for Luciano Spalletti’s side. In that time, he has helped Napoli keep seven clean sheets, scoring two goals.
CMW report that Tottenham, Manchester United, Fulham and Brighton are all interested in the South Korea star. He is in action today as South Korea take on Luis Suarez’s Uruguay. He is certainly attracting admirers in English football.
Now, Murphy has offered some insight into the amount of cash it will take to sign Kim. Indeed, during his role as co-commentator, he claims that he has been told Manchester United are interested. And, that Napoli want £100million.
“His performances have been so good. I was talking to someone , he said that Manchester United are in for him and they’re talking £100m – that’s how quick you can grow. [Napoli] have been sensational this season, him included.”

Murphy: Kim could cost £100million amid Tottenham interest
Forgetting the price, he would be a sensational signing for any Premier League club, judging by his performances for Napoli this season. But is must be remembered that he is still in his infancy when it comes to the elite level of Europe.
Beforehand, he had only played in his home country, China and then Turkey with Fenerbahce. So, he still has some way to go to be rated at a nine-figure price. But the form he is showing right now, is certainly of a player worth £100million.
That would put Fulham and Brighton out of the equation. Spurs too, perhaps, but they have the trump card of Tanguy Ndombele on loan at Napoli. His permanent fee may bring the £100m price tag down, if Spurs do go in for him.
