Italian outlet CMW claim Tottenham have been joined by three Premier League clubs and Antonio Conte’s old side Juventus in the race to sign Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, in the form of Brighton, Fulham and Manchester United.

Napoli are in stunning form. Incredible form, that sees them remain unbeaten in Serie A – sitting top of the Italian table. Summer signing Kim has been crucial to their form, starting and finishing 20 games in all competitions.

Indeed, 26-year-old Kim has missed just one game for Napoli since joining the club – rested against Spezia. Kim has helped Napoli win 16 of the 19 games he has played, losing only once to Liverpool. Seven clean sheets, too.

The 44-time South Korea ace has also scored twice, limiting opposing teams to just 18 goals. Little surprise then, that Tottenham are keen to sign him. Spurs are still in the market to improve the middle of their defence.

90Min claim that Tottenham believe they were wrong not to sign Kim from Fenerbahce in the summer. Now, CMW report that Manchester United, Brighton, Fulham and Juventus are also keen. Napoli want as much as £43.5million.

Who needs him most? Brighton are well-stocked at centre-back, with Lewis Dunk, Adam Webster, Joel Veltman and other options in the middle of the defence. Fulham could do with additions, but he would hardly be convinced.

Fulham have started well, but they lack European football. With Napoli in the knockout rounds of the Champions League, Kim will surely only consider clubs in the competition – or the Europa League. Spurs, or United, then.

Juventus have been knocked out. Tottenham and Conte will be tempting given United’s up and down form. Son Heung-min will be delighted his World Cup teammate could join – given he has told Spurs to sign him in the past.
