Speculation about Mykhaylo Mudryk to Arsenal is certainly being ramped up.
The Gunners were linked with a move to sign the 21-year-old during the summer transfer window, but nothing materialised.
But Arsenal failed to sign a winger overall and therefore it is logical that they will be still keen on getting one once the winter window opens again.
Fabrizio Romano revealed to Give Me Sport in recent days that the Ukraine international is the North Londoners’ top priority going into January, with a Ukraine-based journalist claiming this week that he has a £130 million release clause at Shakhtar [as covered by HITC Sport].
It remains to be seen if Arsenal are keen on Mudryk but, according to one journalist, he is definitely keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium and has been impressed by how ruthless Mikel Arteta and Edu were regarding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who had his contract terminated 11 months ago.

Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport: “I think he could. I don’t think there’s any doubt that he’s already keen on this move.
“He’s been impressed by the turnaround that they’ve made at the club, the fact that they made a big decision to ditch Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and moved towards having faith in different kinds of players, that will have impressed him.”
Clearly Mudryk is a phenomenal young talent, having scored 10 goals already this season – including three in the Champions League.
And although Arsenal have a lot of clout right now, what with being top of the Premier League and all, time will tell if they’re ready to spend the nine figures reportedly needed to lure him to the Emirates.
One thing is for sure: if they don’t, another club will.
This is a massive talent and Arsenal will need to strike while the iron is hot and if Jones is right, and the player wants a transfer, then opportunity is knocking for Arteta and Edu.
