Gary Neville has said on ITV (3:51pm, November 21, 2022) that he is surprised that Leeds United and Aston Villa-linked winger Ismaila Sarr is still at Watford.
The former Manchester United defender made the comments about Sarr in the build-up to the 2022 Qatar World Cup match between Senegal and the Netherlands on Monday.
Sarr, who was linked with Leeds and Aston Villa in the summer of 2022, started the match for the African giants.
Foot Mercato reported in August that Leeds wanted to sign the 24-year-old Senegal international winger from Watford.
Also in August, well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on the Que Golazo Podcast that although Villa had agreed a deal with Watford, they could not reach an agreement with the former Rennes star.
Sarr is still at Watford.

The 24-year-old has made 16 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for the Hornets so far this season.
The winger has scored six goals and given four assists in those matches.
Maybe Sarr could get a move to a big Premier League club in the summer of 2023.
