Tottenham are interested in signing Hakim Ziyech in 2023, and Spurs will be able to scout the forward during the World Cup as he turns out for Morocco.

It was Algemeen Dagblad in the Netherlands who revealed that Tottenham want to sign the £33.3m man, and 90min believe Todd Boehly wants Chelsea to sell the 29-year-old.

Now, Ziyech has done something that will surely make Antonio Conte sit up and take notice.

Tottenham target Ziyech shines in World Cup warmup friendly

Well, the Chelsea No.22 showed he’s in the mood to take Qatar by storm with a stunning goal in the 3-0 win over Georgia yesterday, from inside his own half.

Ziyech was gifted the ball after a sloppy pass from Georgia, and he made them pay with a phenomenal strike which sailed over Giorgi Mamardashvili and into the back of the net.

It was an ideal way for the Tottenham target to prepare ahead of Morocco’s World Cup opener against Croatia on Wednesday, where he is set to come up against Ivan Perisic, a man who could become his teammate very soon.

Ziyech has found chances hard to come by at Stamford Bridge so far this season, making just one start in the Premier League, so he has a real opportunity to put himself in the shop window at the World Cup.

Tottenham told Ziyech would transform them

Spurs fans will know Rafael van der Vaart well, and the Dutchman believes Conte signing Ziyech could help bring the Premier League title to N17.

Speaking to Ziggo Sports, the 39-year-old said: “Hakim Ziyech has to join Tottenham. If Tottenham get Hakim Ziyech, they could win the Premier League. I am serious.”

Now, he would definitely be a shrewd signing by Spurs, although Conte probably needs some defensive upgrades before Tottenham fans can think about winning the title.

Nevertheless, Ziyech would be an excellent alternative to Dejan Kulusevski, and if a deal can be done for the right price in January, Fabio Paratici must get it wrapped up.
