Tottenham and Everton want Mohammed Kudus but Borussia Dortmund are hoping to win the race for the Ajax sensation in 2023.

Kudus emerged as a real talent in Nordsjaelland thanks to their partnership with the Right to Dream academy in Ghana.

Ajax swooped in 2020 and four goals in 17 league games represented a strong debut season.

Unfortunately for Kudus, last season was a struggle as he started just four league games.

The 22-year-old has come back with a bang this season though and is now attracting major interest.

Tottenham and Everton want Mohammed Kudus

Kudus has racked up eight goals in 12 appearances across all competitions this season, including a powerful strike away at Liverpool.

Hailed as ‘really special’ by Dutch striker Tom van Weert, Kudus is starting to realise his enormous potential.

Bild now report that Borussia Dortmund want to sign Kudus and are aiming to sign him if striker Youssoufa Moukoko refuses to sign a deal.

It’s added that Dortmund may well have an ace up their sleeve in the form of Otto Addo.

Dortmund talent coach Otto Addo is now serving as Ghana boss, combining the two roles ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

That means Addo is working closely with Kudus on the international stage and Dortmund will hope that swings the race in their favour.

The report adds that Everton and Tottenham both want to sign Kudus too but their hopes may now be dented.

Tottenham certainly need an attacking midfielder even if only from the bench, given how Antonio Conte’s men are lacking creativity in the final third right now.

Kudus could tick that box and it’s starting to feel like Everton have missed their chance at a deal for the versatile attacker.

Voetbal International reported in August that Kudus missed training to try and force a move to Goodison Park but no move happened.

Everton did make a late offer worth around £15million but, according to The IndependentAjax rejected that out of a belief that they can get even more money in the future.

Kudus is showing exactly why Ajax took that stance and, if sold in 2023, he will surely go for much more than £15million.

Dortmund and Tottenham are now more like the level Kudus will be aiming for, and Everton may sadly have to move on.
