Tim Sherwood has stated that ‘no-one ever questions’ the loyalty of Tottenham Hotspur forward, Son Heung-min.

The former Tottenham boss shared that, when it comes to the transfer window opening, you never hear about Son possibly wanting away.

Over the weekend, Son was dropped to the bench for Tottenham’s home tie against Leicester City because he was yet to score a goal this season.

But that quickly changed when he blitzed in a 13-minute hat-trick for his side to showcase that he is here to defend his Golden Boot crown from the last campaign.

In truth, the call from Antonio Conte to drop him worked a treat because of his hat-trick. Who knows what would have happened had he started?

Either way, Sherwood is a big fan of Son, as he praised the South Korean’s loyalty towards Tottenham, as he told Premier League Productions.

“When it comes to January, then you start hearing the crumblings,” said Sherwood. “Oh, ‘he wants to go here or possibly this club is in for him’.

“You haven’t heard any of that for Son. He has had it plain sailing up to now (his poor form). No-one ever questions his loyalty to Tottenham, no-one ever does because he is a humble boy. Long may it continue.”

ONE OF POCHETTINO’S BEST SIGNINGS

In 2015, Mauricio Pochettino, who was spending very little compared to those around him, secured Son’s talents from Germany.

The versatile forward was signed from Bayer Leverkusen, and it’s fair to say, he has been one of the club’s best-ever signings.

In 334 games for Spurs in all competitions, he has 134 goals and 75 assists to his name.

And now he is four goals shy of writing his name into the legend books because he is edging ever closer to joining those who have 100 Premier League goals to their name.
