Thierry Henry has waxed-lyrical about Everton’s summer transfer target, Mohammed Kudus, after his goal during Ajax’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The legendary striker added that Kudus came to prominence after being part of an academy in Ghana named ‘right to dream’ and Henry thinks the midfielder is now ‘living the dream’, as he told CBS Sports (13/09/22 at 8:50 pm).
It wasn’t just any ordinary finish from Kudus at Anfield because he slapped the ball into the back of the net like a southpaw boxer throwing a knockout punch.

It was a devastating piece of action from the 22-year-old, who is taking a liking to British sides because, on top of his goal against Liverpool, he also scored and assisted against Rangers last week.
All of this could have been different for the player in the summer because Everton were searching for his signature and there was even the suggestion that he was willing to move.
Despite a host of Ajax players heading for the exit door like a fire drill, Kudus stayed on board and Henry was praising the Ghana international’s rise.
“What a finish from Mohammed Kudus,” said Henry. “Last week, he gave us one against Rangers, but this one right in front of the Kop. Take a bow, son. What a finish.
“He came from the academy ‘right to dream’ in Ghana and now he’s living the dream.”

EVERTON ARE SEARCHING IN THE RIGHT AREAS
For a number of years, Everton have been pretty abject when it comes to how teams have got on in the transfer market.
Millions spent, only to go backwards and put the whole club in a heap of mess, which Frank Lampard is now tasked to pick up and clear.
But, for most parts, since his arrival, the players that have been targetted and brought in have been encouraging by the club, including bringing Conor Coady and James Tarkowski in for next to nothing.
Then there is midfielder Amadou Onana, who is so far matching the hype surrounding him, but he just needs to get his engine warmer before fans can see the real impact he will have at Goodison Park.
