Despite the window just closing, Tottenham Hotspur supporters will be desperate for Harry Kane to sign a new contract.
The 29-year-old hitman is only contracted to Spurs until the summer of 2024 and if an extension cannot be agreed upon by next year, the Lilywhites will be vulnerable to losing their main man in a cut-price deal – or for much less than he’s worth, actually.
And according to Bild journalist Christian Falk, Bayern Munich are hoping that Kane does not put pen to paper on a Tottenham contract ahead of a 2023 effort to lure him to the Bundesliga.
Here’s what Falk tweeted:

These days, it isn’t official unless it comes from Fabrizio Romano but it’s worth considering that Falk is also a very experienced and established journalist, too.
And besides, the German giants certainly need a new long-term number nine after losing Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona this past summer.
However, why would Kane leave Tottenham?
Under Antonio Conte, there’s genuinely a chance that the England international could finally win a trophy in North London.
What that trophy is remains to be seen, but the Italian manager is a serial winner and it would be a surprise if he were to leave England again empty handed.
Tottenham remain undefeated in the Premier League this season, winning four of their first six outings and drawing the other two.
You could forgive Kane if he did sign a new contract for Daniel Levy and, as written by HITC Sport last week, he just might be soon.
