Obviously Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a fantastic summer on the recruitment front.

So far, Spurs have signed seven new players for the 2022-23 campaign and a club-record £60 million deal for Richarlison represents the biggest investment by some distance.

Tottenham could still strengthen their squad even further and going by Antonio Conte’s comments on Friday, that’s a distinct possibility.

However, the Lilywhites’ biggest announcement could actually come after the transfer window shuts next week.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold, who covers Tottenham for Football London, has revealed that a contract offer from Daniel Levy for Harry Kane is likely to come after the window closes.

He said: “I get the impression that’s probably going to happen when the window closes, you know, get all that sorted. Look, it’s gonna happen as in Spurs will offer a deal.”

With the the North Londoners’ level of investment during the summer, combined with the fact Conte is a world-class manager who definitely has Spurs on an upward trajectory, signing a new contract is a very real possibility for the Lilywhites.

And if it does indeed happen after the window shuts, as Gold has suggested, then it’ll blow any signing out of the water in terms of importance.

Kane has turned 29 this summer, entering into the prime years of his career and if Levy ensures this period is spent at Tottenham then, well, it’s such a gargantuan boost for everybody associated with the club, from the board, to the players, to the fanbase.

Keep an eye on the business that Spurs do next week, but keep a closer eye on what comes after it.

Because that could be Tottenham’s biggest moment of the summer.
