Dennis Praet would leave Leicester City if Jeremie Boga arrives from Serie A outfit Atalanta but a deal to bring the £20 million winger back to the Premier League is stalling, according to Tutto Atalanta.

Former Sassuolo team-mate Filip Djuricic once described Boga as the best dribbler he had ever seen on a football pitch. Some statement, when you consider Djuricic shared a dressing room with one Sadio Mane at Southampton.

Boga, the France-born Ivory Coast international, started his career at Chelsea. A return to the Premier League is now on the cards, with Leicester in talks to sign a man who only joined Atalanta in a £20 million deal eight months ago.

Leicester City hope to sign Serie A flyer Jeremie Boga

A right-footed left winger who loves to cut inside and curl shots into the top corner, Boga has struggled to replicate his dazzling Sassuolo form in Bergamo. He’s played just 24 minutes across Atalanta’s first three games of the new Serie A season.

Talks with Leicester, however, are not exactly progressing as planned. Tutto Atalanta say that the Foxes and Atalanta are still ‘far apart’. Boga’s arrival would pave the way for Dennis Praet to leave, potentially for Torino, but things appear to be on hold heading towards the 11pm deadline.

“He is a Leicester player, it is useless to talk about him,” Torino coach Ivan Juric said on Wednesday.

Boga would become Leicester’s second big-money deadline day signing. Belgium international Wout Faes has arrived from Reims in a £15 million deal.
