Crystal Palace made an offer for Serie A winger Jeremie Boga on Monday with the Ivory Coast international potentially on his way to the Premier League, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio.

For Sassuolo supporters, tonight’s transfer deadline cannot come soon enough.

After losing midfield maestro Manuel Locatelli to Juventus and influential head coach Roberto di Zerbi to Shakhtar Donetsk, Euro 2020 winner Domenico Berardi has his heart set on a move away from the club he joined as a wide-eyed youngster a decade ago.

Berardi has asked to leave the Mapei Stadium – and he is not the only one.

“Just like Locatelli and Berardi, Boga also asked us to try other experiences,” explained CEO Giovani Carnevali.

“We listened to him and the agents – but no concrete offers have arrived.”

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, things have changed now.

Crystal Palace have left it very late in the day to open the bidding for a one-time Chelsea youngster; a France-born speedster who has blossomed into one of Europe’s most exciting wide men three years after a loan spell at Birmingham City.

It is not certain how much Crystal Palace are willing to pay for Boga, however.

West Ham United and Everton have also made enquiries for a man valued in the region of £26 million, according to FootMercato.

“Honestly, I don’t know any dribblers that are better than him,” said Sassuolo teammate Filip Djuricic. “I played with many people, but in beating his man, he’s the best I’ve ever seen.”

Quite the claim, especially when you consider that Djuricic shared a dressing room with Sadio Mane at Southampton.
