Pedro Neto to Arsenal is something that could happen next week – and they need to hurry up because Liverpool could potentially scupper their plans.
The Gunners are heavily linked with signing the £60 million-rated [The Times] Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker recently, with the player ‘very keen‘ to join Mikel Arteta’s outfit.
However, there’s been a development regarding Liverpool which Arteta and Edu need to be concerned about.
According to 90 Min, the Anfield club are interested in signing Neto’s teammate at Molineux, Ruben Neves.
And Jurgen Klopp admitted on Friday night that Liverpool definitely need to sign a midfielder but, with only days left in the transfer window, deals are going to be done very quickly.
If the German manager is serious signing Neves and he winds up going to Merseyside, that effectively kills Arsenal’s chances to sign Neto.

Pedro Neto to Arsenal
Because there’s just no way Wolves are going to sell two of their best players in the final week of the window, particularly not with Bruno Lage’s side having picked up only one point from a possible nine in the Premier League this season.
Selling both Neves and Neto would be inviting a relegation battle, irrespective of how much money comes in for both because regardless of finances, can Wolves guarantee they can sign two upgrades and have them enjoy an immediate transition to life in English football?
It has to be one or the other and Arsenal will be sick if after weeks of trying to sign Neto, Liverpool come from nowhere and purchase Neves.
