Well, Tottenham Hotspur have even stiffer competition in the hunt for Memphis Depay in the form of Manchester United, according to a new report on Wednesday evening.
On August 11, Gazzetta dello Sport reported in Italy that Spurs had made contact with the Netherlands international about coming to North London.
And with Depay having an offer from an unnamed London club to join for around £200,000 per week, that certainly strengthened the Tottenham speculation.
However, Marca in Spain are now reporting that Manchester United – who had him on their books as a younger player – are interested in taking the Barcelona attacker to Old Trafford.
The report adds that the Red Devils would be willing to offer him around £162,000 per week to come to the Theatre of Dreams.
Whatever happens, Depay seems destined to leave Camp Nou on a Bosman.

This past weekend, Fabrizio Romano revealed that he had already agreed a deal with Barcelona to terminate his contract in Catalunya.
However, Juventus are also said to be in the reckoning.
Even they’re a genuine threat to Tottenham’s attempt to sign Depay, but Manchester United, one of football’s biggest outfits, definitely represent a threat to the Lilywhites.
That being said, the 28-year-old only scored two goals in 33 Premier League appearances during his previous spell with United and therefore he might be up for a different sort of challenge in the division, perhaps giving an advantage to Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici.
