It would appear as if Tottenham Hotspur could still sign Memphis Depay this summer.
Earlier this week, it was reported by 90 Min – as covered by HITC Sport – that the Barcelona attacker had agreed personal terms with Italian outfit Juventus.
On August 11, Gazzetta in Italy claimed that Tottenham had made contact with the £200,000-a-week forward about a transfer to North London.
There’s been radio silence with regards to Spurs in the 10 days since that, but Fabrizio Romano has a positive update on the situation.
According to the reliable Italian journalist, Depay, who’s been offered £200,000 per week by an unnamed London club, has actually not agreed to join anybody at the moment, breathing new life into the Lilywhites’ prospects of landing him potentially.
On Twitter, Romano added that a transfer away from Camp Nou has edged closer after the player agreed the termination of his contract on Saturday.

Antonio Conte has helped the North Londoners collect seven points from a possible nine in the Premier League thus far.
Their only blemish was a 2-2 draw at Chelsea last week, but it’s been a superb start to the 2022-23 campaign and it’ll be interesting to see if Conte and Fabio Paratici have further additions planned.
They have already signed one wide player in the form of Ivan Perisic – and maybe even two if Richarlison is deployed mainly on the flank.
But Depay, a Netherlands international, is somebody who can play in an array of forward positions [Transfermarkt] and that versatility might just appeal to the Italian duo at Hotspur Way.
