German newspaper Bild claim that Wolves have seen a £12.7million bid rejected by Stuttgart for striker Sasa Kalajdzic – with the German club wanting as much as £21million for the Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle target this summer.
Kalajdzic, 25, has caught the eye over the last three seasons – since gaining promotion to the Bundesliga. While he has suffered numerous injuries in his career so far, including an ACL injury, he has been excellent when on the field of play.
The 15-time Austria international has only managed 51 Bundesliga appearances since the start of the 2020-21 campaign. But in that time, he has managed 22 goals, as well as laying on 11 assists. It has attracted plenty of interest.
Wolves are desperate for a striker with Raul Jimenez only being used as a sub against Tottenham on Saturday. They have now tabled an offer of £12.7million, but Stuttgart have rejected it – requesting a fee in the region of £21million.

It could open the door for the likes of Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle and Manchester United. All four clubs are keen on Kalajdzic, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract with Stuttgart. A move still looks likely this summer.
Wolves bid for Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton target Kalajdzic rejected
Kalajdzic is a top talent. Still only 25, the target man striker seems ready-made for the hustle and bustle of the Premier League. Clubs are reverting to needing an old-fashioned no.9, and Kalajdzic certainly is that. His hold-up play is strong.
His height brings attacking midfielders in and around him, too. Wolves boast the likes of Pedro Neto, Goncalo Guedes, Daniel Podence and more. Kalajdzic would get the best out of them. It remains to be seen if they will go back in.
But the failed bid will surely place the other four Premier League clubs on red alert, if they are intent on signing the Stuttgart man. A fee of £21million is easily affordable for all five, but a compromise could be met in the next week.
