Everton have been offered Arkadiusz Milik and Marseille are now ready to sell the striker for around €20million (£17million) before the transfer window slams shut.
The Toffees are absolutely desperate for attacking additions before the end of the transfer window.
Richarlison has been sold to Tottenham Hotspur and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin out injured, Everton have been left short of striking options.
The likes of Armando Broja, Serhou Guirassy, Viktor Gyokeres, Neal Maupay and Ben Brereton Diaz have all been mentioned of late.
There has been another name added to the list this week though with Marseille attacker Milik linked.
Everton have been offered Arkadiusz Milik
Reports from France this week suggested that Milik has been offered up to Everton as a potential striking solution.
L’Equipe now add to that, reporting that Marseille are willing to sell Milik for a fee in the region of £17million.
That could be a very appealing price to Everton, given that the likes of Maupay, Brereton Diaz and Gyokeres are being talked about in a similar kind of price bracket.
Milik, 28, has been a proven goalscorer over the years, certainly more so than the other strikers Everton are eyeing.
The Polish international smashed 47 goals in 76 games for Ajax before heading to Napoli in 2016.
Milik continued his goalscoring feats in Italy, scoring 48 goals in 122 games.
Marseille pounced with an 18-month loan deal in January 2021 with that move becoming permanent this summer.
Milik hit 20 goals in all competitions last season and his record for Marseille stands at 30 goals in 55 games.
For £17million, Everton may be able to find the proven goalscorer they want at a very reasonable price.
Other clubs are being offered the chance to sign Milik too, but it would be a surprise if Everton didn’t have an interest in signing the striker once hailed as ‘incredible’ by former Poland boss Jerzy Brzeczek.
