Everton have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Olympique Marseille striker Arkadiusz Milik, with Manchester United also in contention for the Polish international.

According to journalist Karim Bennani via GFFN, the French giants are intent on offloading the former Napoli attacker this summer as Igor Tudor continues to overhaul the Marseille squad, with Everton and United both being offered the chance to sign the 28-year-old attacker.

Both Premier League sides are desperate to sign a new forward this summer with Everton looking for cover for Dominic Calvert-Lewin whilst United are keen to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who looks set to leave Old Trafford before the closure of the transfer window.

And now, the English clubs have been offered the chance to sign Milik, with Marseille looking to sell numerous players this summer to bring in some new faces ahead of the new season, and the Polish superstar could now be heading to either Everton or United.

Indeed, whilst Milik might not be the first name to spring to mind for fans of either side when it comes to a new striker, the former Ajax academy star does fit the bill for what both Everton and United need when it comes to an attacking signing this summer.

Milik has bagged 10+ goals in all competitions in his last four seasons, and with the striker proving he can find the back of the net in numerous top European leagues, the 28-year-old could actually be a good signing for either Everton and United with Marseille looking to sell the forward.

Everton’s striking problems are some of the most concerning in the Premier League, with the club having just veteran Salomon Rondon as a fit centre-forward for the coming weeks, and this is why the Toffees have to win the race for Milik ahead of their English rivals United.

The Pole is in the prime of his career, and with Calvert-Lewin likely to endure another injury this season, Milik is the perfect player to lead the line for Everton under Frank Lampard, who could get the best out of the Marseille striker if the Merseyside club can beat United to the attacker’s signature.
