Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports Premier League (6:01pm, August 14, 2022) that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will be “furious” with Jorginho for his role in Tottenham Hotspur’s first goal at Stamford Bridge in the London derby today.
Chelsea have played out a 2-2 draw with Tottenham in the Premier League.
Harry Kane scored a late goal to earn a point for Spurs from the match.
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg scored the first goal for Tottenham midway through the second half.
It was a controversial goal, as there were two issues about it – a potential foul on Kai Havertz in the build-up and Richarlison potentially being in an offside position when the shot was taken.
Former Liverpool defender Carragher was on co-commentary duty for the match on Sky Sports, and he noted how 30-year-old Italy international midfielder Jorginho played his role in the goal for Spurs.
It was Jorginho who tried to be clever with his footwork inside his own box and gave the ball away for Højbjerg to eventually score.
Sky Sports pundit Carragher believes that the Italian star was playing well until that moment, and thinks that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will not be happy with.

Jamie Carragher on Jorginho for Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur
Carragher said on Sky Sports Premier League about Jorginho towards the end of the first half (5:15pm): “Jorginho is just running this game. Tottenham can’t get near him.”
The pundit said when the midfielder was substituted: “That man has now come off. I am sure Thomas Tuchel is furious is how he dealt with that situation on the goal, but he was outstanding before that.”
