Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, David Moyes’s West Ham United and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are interested in signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, according to the Sunday Mirror (14/8; page 76).
Arsenal, West Ham and Manchester United want Moises Caicedo
The report has claimed that Arsenal, West Ham and Manchester United all want to secure the services of the 20-year-old Ecuador international midfielder this summer.
Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen are also claimed to be keen on the youngster, who is rated very highly in the footballing community and is claimed to offer more than Chelsea and France international midfielder N’Golo Kante.
Highly rated
South American football expert Tim Vickery told talkSPORT about Caicedo in February 2021: “He is a terrific athlete who makes football look easy. A box-to-box midfielder.
“A year ago he was saying that Kante of Chelsea is his role model but he is already more than that. He already offers more in the final third.

“That kind of box-to-box midfielder that’s very much in the tradition of the England game. Strong, quick, intelligent and cool. He really does look like the genuine article.”
Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Arsenal, West Ham United and Manchester United are unlikely to be able to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion this summer.
Yes, the Gunners, the Hammers and the Red Devils are bigger clubs than Brighton, but the Seagulls are not in any rush to sell one of their best young players.
Brighton will be aware that they will be able to sell the 20-year-old for millions in the coming years.
After all, Caicedo is just starting at Brighton, and his value will only rise in the coming years.
The midfielder has scored one goal in 10 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
