Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are hopeful that they will be able to sign Youri Tielemans from Premier League rivals Leicester City in the final weeks of the summer transfer window, according to 90min.
90min have reported that Leicester are ready to sell Tielemans for £25 million, and that Arsenal are keen on securing the services of the Belgium international midfielder this summer.
Arsenal have bee chasing the 25-year-old for weeks and are now hopeful of getting a deal done for Tielemans, described as “special” and “a top, top player” by former Gunners star Paul Merson on Sky Sports News [06/05/2019].
Could Youri Tielemans to Arsenal happen?
In our view, Arsenal could be able to sign Youri Tielemans from Premier League rivals Leicester City in the summer transfer window.

The midfielder is out of contract at the Foxes next summer, and Leicester could lose him on a free then.
So, in our opinion, if the Belgian is not going to sign a new deal, then selling him now for £25 million would be sensible business.
Maybe the reason why Arsenal have still not made a bid for Tielemans is because they want to get him for less than £25 million.
Perhaps the Gunners think that if they want until the final week of the summer transfer window, then they could be able to secure the services of the Belgian star for less than the £25 million they would have to pay for him now.
