TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook has told Give Me Sport that Southampton are willing to listen to offers for striker Che Adams, despite the loss of Armando Broja – amid interest from Leeds United. Reports claim Leeds want a deal this week.
Adams, 26, has now been at Southampton for the past three years – clocking up 110 appearances in all competitions for the Saints. In that time he has had a hand in 33 goals, despite only starting only 71 of those 110 games.
Of course, the Scotland international has been linked with Leeds for some time. Victor Orta even said that in January 2020, Adams almost joined Leeds – but an assist against Leicester saw Southampton decide to retain him.

Now, that interest from Leeds remains. Reports claimed over the weekend that Leeds want to sign Adams, and are willing to pay £10million for the attacker. Jones now delivers an update, saying Southampton will listen to offers.
“They want to bring in a centre forward and I’ve been told that Southampton could be willing to listen to offers. He’s been on their list before. Whether they would meet the asking price I don’t know. One to keep an eye on.”
Crook: Southampton to listen to offers for Adams – amid Leeds interest
Adams is the perfect striker for Leeds to sign. A player long-admired by Orta, a player that is hard-working, knows the Premier League, cheap and can play in numerous positions. Adams would be the ideal addition.
He could play in a two-man attack if Jesse Marsch plays 4-2-2-2, or he could play out wide, up front or even as a 10 in a 4-2-3-1. It is an absolute no-brainer for Leeds this summer if the opportunity to sign Adams does come around.
