Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Stefan Bajcetic on the club’s official website for his performance against RC Strasbourg Alsace at Anfield.

Klopp’s Liverpool suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of French club Strasbourg at Anfield on Sunday.

Holding midfielder Bajcetic, 17, started the match and was taken off in the 57th minute.

Liverpool boss Klopp was impressed by the teenager, and has explained why he was substituted.

Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “Stefan played a really good game, felt a little bit so we took him off because of that.”

Bright future

In our view, Liverpool youngster Stefan Bajcetic has a bright future ahead of him.

Bajcetic is only 17 now, but he is already getting chances for the first team in pre-season friendly matches.

Now, of course, we do not expect the teenager to start playing regularly under Klopp.

No, of course, not.

Bajcetic is likely to continue to play for the Liverpool youth team for now, and maybe he will train with the senior side as well from time to time.

Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world, but they do give chances to promising players coming through their academy.

It is then up to those players to make the most of the chances that they are given.
