Liverpool starting XI: Davies; Mabaya, Konate, Gomez, Chambers; Milner, Bajcetic, Morton; Frauendorf, Elliott, Carvalho.

Liverpool substitutes: Mrozek, Phillips, Clark, Van den Berg, Musialowski.

Liverpool are in action again today as they host Strasbourg in a friendly at Anfield.

The Reds won the Community Shield on Saturday evening, beating Manchester City 3-1 at the King Power Stadium in Leicester.

That game featured Liverpool’s key first-team players, so it’s now a rotated side to take on Strasbourg this evening.

The Ligue 1 side should be a great test for Liverpool’s young players ahead of the Premier League season starting next weekend.

Harvey Davies is given a chance in goal, taking advantage of Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher both being injured.

Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez are the centre back pairing tonight having been unused substitutes alongside Davies against City.

Isaac Mabaya and Luke Chambers – two young talents who both hail from Preston – are the full backs tonight.

James Milner offers great experience around all these youngsters, with Stefan Bajcetic and Tyler Morton joining him in midfield.

Summer signing Fabio Carvalho starts in attack and will seemingly feature as a false nine.

Harvey Elliot and Melkamu Frauendorf will seemingly play as the wide options either side of Carvalho.

Liverpool have named just five substitutes tonight with Fabian Mrozek, Nat Phillips, Sepp van den Berg, Mateusz Musialowski and Bobby Clark all on the bench.
