Celtic are set to sign Aaron Mooy after the free agent completed his medical ahead of signing a one-year deal with the Bhoys.
The Bhoys have already pounced for two new faces in Benjamin Siegrist and Alexandro Bernabei.
Add them to permanent deals for loanees Daizen Maeda, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota and Celtic look very strong.
Ange Postecoglou isn’t resting on his laurels though and still wants more new faces, with one exciting deal now close.
Celtic are set to sign Aaron Mooy
It was only last week that Postecoglou indicated that Celtic would not be signing Mooy, despite calling him a ‘fantastic’ player.
Postecoglou has seemingly managed to trick everybody though as Mooy is now on the verge of joining Celtic.
The Scottish Sun report that Mooy has now completed a medical with Celtic and will be confirmed as a new Bhoys player very soon.
Mooy has allegedly agreed to a one-year contract with Celtic, but there will be an option for another year if all parties are happy.
This is a hugely impressive deal for Celtic with Mooy offering a quality midfield option.
The 31-year-old was impressive in the Premier League with Huddersfield Town and Brighton and Hove Albion.

Mooy headed to China with Shanghai Port but will now head back to the United Kingdom.
Mooy allegedly wants to return to Scotland for family reasons having met his wife there during his time with St Mirren.
Add in that Mooy played for Postecoglou in the Australian national team setup and this deal appears to make perfect sense.
Just look at Celtic’s midfield options now; Mooy, Callum McGregor, Yosuke Ideguchi, Reo Hatate, Matt O’Riley and David Turnbull.
That’s pretty daunting for the rest of Scotland and Mooy’s imminent move will give Celtic fans hope of another title push.
