Paris Saint-Germain want Carney Chukwuemeka and could now move to beat Newcastle United to his signature this summer.
PSG are going through a summer of change having brought in Luis Campos and Christophe Galtier as their new sporting director and manager.
The Ligue 1 side will now be looking to strike deals for new signings and seem to be focusing on younger talent than usual.
Hugo Ekitike has completed his move from State de Reims to PSG on loan with an option to buy.
Newcastle chased Ekitike for a long time before PSG swooped in – and the French champions could now beat Newcastle to another youngster.
Paris Saint-Germain want Carney Chukwuemeka
The Mirror report that PSG are now looking to snap up Aston Villa teenager Carney Chukwuemeka.
The 18-year-old is considered to be Villa’s top young prospect but his future appears to lie away from Villa Park.
Chukwuemeka is out of contract in 2023 and has so far refused to sign a new deal with Villa.
Steven Gerrard has now left Chukwuemeka out of his squad for the pre-season trip to Australia, seemingly signalling the end of the road for him at Villa – unless he signs a new deal.

Villa are allegedly open to selling but would prefer to sell to a foreign club than to a direct Premier League rival like Newcastle.
The Magpies would love to sign Chukwuemeka but they will seemingly meet resistance from Villa – and a fight from PSG.
PSG are understood to be speaking to Chukwuemeka’s agent and now want to discuss terms over a potential move to the Parc des Princes.
Barcelona are favourites but PSG seem to be making their move for Chukwuemeka – and they would no doubt love to beat Newcastle to him just after winning the battle for Ekitike.
