Torino president Urbano Cairo admits he has agreed to sell Premier League-linked Gleison Bremer but believes the Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target is worth ‘more’ than £60 million, speaking to La7.
He might not be a household name. Not yet anyway. But there’s certainly an argument to be made that Gleison Bremer is the most coveted central defender in European football right about now.
Over the last 18 months or so, he’s been linked with all manner of clubs big and small, both at home and abroad.
And while the belligerent Brazilian has already agreed personal terms on a four-year, £60,000-a-week contract at Inter Milan, his future will remain uncertain as long as the Nerazzuri delay shaking hands with a Torino side who brought Bremer to Italy from Brazilian football back in 2018.
Chelsea made an offer (Di Marzio). Arsenal have scheduled talks with Torino director Davide Vagnati in London (90Min). And reports linking Bremer with a move to Tottenham are still hanging around. That is despite the arrival of Clement Lenglet from Barcelona last week.
Gleison Bremer worth ‘more’ than Inter’s Milan Skriniar

“Is there a fair price for Bremer? There is, but I don’t think it’s fair to say it,” says Cairo, Torino’s president.
“I am on excellent terms with his agent and I have spoken to him. The player is an extraordinary guy. I told him that when a suitable offer arrives, I would sell him. But everything is relative.”
Another Serie A centre-back – Inter’s Milan Skriniar – should to join Paris Saint-Germain for £60 million this summer. And Cairo believes that Skriniar’s price-tag should set the benchmark for Bremer. Especially after the latter beat the former to Serie A’s 2021/22 Defender of the Year award.
“I hear about 70 million euros for Skriniar. I think Bremer is worth more,” Cairo adds.
“My goal is to please him. And I will do because, in any case, those who can afford him will be top-level teams.”
Blessed with expert positional sense and impeccable timing, Bremer has got the better of both Romelu Lukaku and Dusan Vlahovic over the last couple of years.
