Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Kim Min-Jae amid ongoing links to Tottenham.
The South Korean defender has been the subject of much speculation this summer after a standout season with Fenerbahce, but, as of yet, no move has materialised for the centre-back.
However, according to Romano, this situation could change in the coming days, and this is an update that may have Spurs on alert as they’ve eyed this 25-year-old for quite some time now.
What’s been said?
Romano spoke about the defender.
“I will mention Kim Min-Jae a centre-back from Fenerbahce with a release clause of €20m. There are many clubs interested in this boy, now it seems to be very quiet, but I am sure that in the coming days it will change because Kim is a very good centre-back and could be one of the opportunities on the market,” Romano said.

Opportunity
As Romano says, this player represents a great opportunity this summer, and at €20m (£17m), it may be one of the value deals of the window.
Of course, whether or not he’s the right player for a team like Tottenham at this moment in time is up for debate. Spurs have just added Clement Lenglet to their defensive ranks, and there’s an argument to be made that they don’t need another defender through the door this summer.
However, with other Premier League sides such as Everton linked, it wouldn’t surprise us one bit to see Kim Min-Jae playing in England next year.
This is certainly one to keep a close eye on.
