Speaking on Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel, The Sun’s chief sports writer, Martin Lipton has been discussing Tottenham’s hunt for a new centre-back and Kim Min-Jae
The South Korean defender has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham this summer, and it looks as though the north London club are rather keen on the 25-year-old.
However, Lipton states that Kim Min-Jae isn’t actually one of the club’s top targets, stating that a move for him is possible, but it’s not probable.
What’s been said?
Lipton shared what he knows about Spurs’ interest in the defender.
“They’ve looked at a lot, there’s a certain grade of centre-half they’re looking at, the Korean boy is slightly below the top level of that list at the moment. He’s on the list, but he’s not necessarily at the top of it, he’s a possible rather than probable,” Lipton said.

Need better
Tottenham clearly aren’t prioritising a move for Kim Min-Jae, and it’s not hard to figure out why.
To put it bluntly, Spurs need a better centre-half than the South Korean through the door this summer.
The 25-year-old has been impressive for his country, but at the same time, he’s spent just one season playing in Europe, and even then that was in the Turkish League, which, with all due respect, doesn’t contain the greatest quality.
Tottenham need to sign someone proven at the top level, and sadly, the 25-year-old doesn’t tick that box.
