According to HLN, Leeds have satisfied Club Brugge with a €35m (£30m) bid for Charles De Ketelaere, but AC Milan are causing issues.
What’s the story?
Well, the Belgian side are happy with the money on offer from Leeds, but the 21-year-old himself prefers a move to the San Siro with AC Milan.
However, the Italian giants have only offered €20m (£17m) at this stage, so they have a long way to go until they meet Club Brugge’s demands.
Of course, the Jupiler Pro League side could accept the bid from Leeds, although HLN believe they respect De Ketelaere’s wishes, and will not force him to Yorkshire.
The Belgium international has held very productive talks with Paolo Maldini – Director of Football at AC Milan – and Stefano Pioli, with the forward now convinced about joining the Rossoneri.

Interest in De Ketelaere comes after he enjoyed a stunning 2021/22 campaign, scoring 18 goals in 49 appearances, while also providing ten assists.
Speculation intensified among Leeds fans after the Belgian was sighted in England, although the latest development involving AC Milan is not good news for Jesse Marsch.
Leeds face tough Charles De Ketelaere decision
In our view, this is a bit of a lose-lose for Leeds.
As a result of De Ketelaere’s decision, we believe the only way he can now be lured to Elland Road is through the offer of an irresistible financial package.

However, Leeds shouldn’t put themselves in a position where they’re throwing cash at a 21-year-old in the hope he joins them.
Of course, few players can reject a European giant like AC Milan, but if they’re only able to offer £13m less than what Leeds are, then De Ketelaere himself may have to swallow his pride and accept a move to Yorkshire.
Having said that, Arsenal could also swoop in, as the Gunners are said to be interested in the Belgian.
Whatever happens, Leeds clearly have a fight on their hands if they are to sign De Ketelaere.
