Leeds are reportedly closing in on the signing of Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra as Raphinha edges closer to leaving Elland Road this summer – a player that recently likened himself to Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.
Sinisterra, 23, joined Feyenoord in 2018 but only really came into the side during the 2019-20 campaign. It was the 2021-22 season that saw him produce his best form, a whopping 37 goal involvements throughout.
The Colombia international scored 23 times in all competitions, as well as laying on 14 assists. Leeds are expected to sell Raphinha with Barcelona now back on pole – ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal this summer.

Reports on Monday state that Leeds are in ‘extensive talks’ to sign Sinisterra and are closing in on a move to beat Everton and land the winger. Sinisterra recently spoke to AS, comparing himself to Luis Diaz.
“We have many conditions in common, we are both players who like to dare, we like one-on-one, we have goals and obviously we have a very good relationship in the National Team,” Sinisterra said, earlier this summer.

Sinisterra’s form for Feyenoord was not even enough to win his side the Eredivisie last season. But he did guide Feyenoord to the Europa Conference League final, eventually losing 1-0 to Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
Leeds need a big signing to replace the imminent loss of Raphinha. He is set to join Kalvin Phillips in leaving Leeds. Sinisterra would certainly be that. He has everything Raphinha has, if not more. At £26m, he is a bargain.
