Chelsea are heavily linked with a reported Tottenham Hotspur target.
Well to be honest, Chelsea, Spurs and even Arsenal are going after many of the same players this summer, like Gabriel Jesus – who is set to be announced by the Gunners – Richarlison and Raphinha to name a few.
But another player linked to both the Blues and Tottenham is Raheem Sterling.
Last month, The Mirror reported that the Lilywhites were keen on signing the Manchester City winger, who cost Pep Guardiola’s side £49 million in 2015.
Toward the end of June, it was reported that the Liverpool product had his heart set on a move to Stamford Bridge, however.
And CBS reporter Ben Jacobs, speaking to Give Me Sport, has revealed that the player is ‘highly likely’ to wind up at Chelsea.
He said: “It’s moved on a little bit now and Sterling is definitely open to a Chelsea move, so I think that by the end of the window it is highly, highly likely that Raheem Sterling will end up a Chelsea player.”
The West Londoners are missing out on players left, right and centre.
They were linked to Richarlison, who joined Tottenham on Friday, and also Jesus who has signed for the Gunners.
And Raphinha of Leeds United has his heart set on a transfer to Barcelona, it has been reported.
However, Sterling looks pretty solid – well, for now at least – and it remains to be seen if Jacobs is right and if the player will indeed wind up as a Thomas Tuchel player.
