Tottenham reportedly want to complete the signing of Richarlison by next week with Spurs keen to bring the Brazilian to north London in time for pre-season.

90min claim that Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are working hard behind the scenes to complete the signing of Richarlison, a deal that could cost Tottenham a club-record £60m and bring Spurs’ total business this summer up to four new players.

Tottenham have already signed Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma this window and are now pushing hard to sign Richarlison from Everton, with the attacker set to leave Goodison Park this summer amid interest from Spurs and their city rivals Arsenal, according to reports.

Labelled as a ‘fantastic’ player by current teammate and former Tottenham winger Andros Townsend, Richarlison will add much-needed attacking depth to Spurs’ front-line, who last season were over reliant on Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, with neither player suffering a major injury.

The Brazilian, who can play on the wing but has found great success with Everton playing in the centre-forward role, bagged 13 goals in all competitions last season as Richarlison was one of the few bright spots for Frank Lampard’s side last term.

Indeed, Tottenham landing Richarlison is a big coup for Conte and offers the Italian and a great option in the squad should Kane or Son need to be rested, with the Spurs boss likely to give it his best shot at ending the north London side’s trophy drought which has now ticked over into its 14th year.

With pre-season just a week away, having all your signings wrapped up by now is the ideal preparation for the summer friendlies, and Tottenham pushing to sign Richarlison between now and then is a good motive from Conte and Fabio Partici.

Indeed, Kane and Son will likely be rested for most of the summer after an intense season for the attacking duo, and Richarlison will want to impress his new club and the supporters in pre-season, where Tottenham will be facing off against some top sides.
