Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on another transfer – Everton forward Richarlison and it seems as though some of his potential new teammates and former teammates have given their thumbs up to that move.
Fabrizio Romano posted on Instagram that Tottenham are ‘finally’ set to sign Richarlison from Everton, with the ‘deal completed’ and Everton getting £50 million, plus £10 million in add-ons, for that player.
The Italian journalist’s message was liked by current Tottenham duo, Ivan Perisic and Lucas Moura, who will now link-up with Richarlison at Hotspur Way.
As well as Aston Villa left-back, Lucas Digne, who moved to the Midlands side in January and he saw first-hand what Richarlison is all about at Goodison Park.
HOW WILL RICHARLISON FAIR AT TOTTENHAM?
The Brazil international is someone who likes to either play out on the left or straight down the middle – usually at Everton, he would only take the central-role if Dominic Calvert-Lewin isn’t playing.
Now, at Spurs, that’s not going to happen because a certain Harry Kane is the main man up top, whilst Heung-Min Son won the Golden Boot last season from that left-hand side.
So, who does Richarlison push ahead of or will Antonio Conte use the all-action forward on the right? Or dare it be said, push Son there given that he is much stronger from a technical standpoint?
Either way, South American expert, TIm Vickery, labelled Richarlison as a ‘racehorse with blinkers on’, after scoring ten Premier League goals at Goodison Park last season.
It’s going to be interesting to see how he fairs in the colours of Tottenham, who return to Champions League football.
