Liverpool-mad Jose Enrique has claimed that the Premier League next season will be ‘the most difficult’ amid rumours that Tottenham are closing in on a double transfer swoop of Richarlison and Clement Lenglet, as he posted on Twitter.
The former left-back also thinks Manchester City and Liverpool being the Premier League’s top-two is now a thing of the past because there are ‘top players’ and ‘top managers’ now in England’s top-flight.
Outside of Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola, those at Hotspur Way could argue that they have a world-class manager at their disposal in Antonio Conte.
A trophy-laden coach, success in England and in Italy, he is proven wherever he has gone and Spurs will be hoping that he continues that trend in their colours.
Tottenham have already added three new faces to their squad this summer, and upon hearing that more players could be added, this is how Enrique reacted.
“This year I believe is going to be the most difficult Premier League with the players and top managers at big clubs now,” said Enrique.
“I don’t believe this is going to be a thing of two teams in Man City and Liverpool anymore.
On if Richarlison is a big player and who he’s replacing at Tottenham via IG story: “He is a good player, even if I don’t like him when he is on the pitch because he spends too much time on the floor. But as a player he is a really good player.”

Three could become six in next to no time for Spurs because they may be about to double their current transfer business within the space of a week.
With Everton forward Richarlison, it seems as though it’s just a case of the Everton forward’s medical being completed and the deal being announced.
Whilst Conte could also add Barcelona defender, Lenglet, to his backline, with the Spanish club in a serious financial mess.
Whilst Nottingham Forest’s promotion-winning hero, Djed Spence, could also provide cover for Emerson Royal, or even take his place for that matter – weeks after negotiating, his possible £15 million deal could be completed by the weekend.
Either way, Spurs are doing some serious talking in the transfer market and this might just be the season where they finally get over that dotted line.
