Honduran outlet Diez claim Bordeaux attacker Alberth Elis has ‘multiple offers’ on the table amid interest from Leeds United, West Ham United and Fenerbahce. The winger has just completed a permanent move to Bordeaux.
Elis, 26, scored an impressive nine Ligue 1 goals in just 20 top-tier outings for the French side last term. On loan from Boavista, Elis failed to prevent relegation to the second tier. Bordeaux have exercised a permanent option.
- Newcastle and Tottenham want Leeds star, but Elland Road is his best move
- Robin Koch an unsung hero at right-back in Leeds’ final games of 21/22
But previous reports state that they are looking to sell him on immediately and make a profit. GFFN say the permanent option was £5million, but that Leeds and other interested parties would have to pay more than double – £12million.
Still a cheap-ish figure given his form in France’s top tier last season, especially for a side that were relegated. Now, Diez say Leeds and West Ham remain keen, and that he has numerous offers on the table this summer.
Elis has ‘multiple offers’ amid Leeds and West Ham interest
Branded ‘explosive’, Elis was playing in the MLS for Houston Dynamo while Jesse Marsch was managing the New York Red Bulls. The Leeds gaffer, who has already signed two of his former players, should know Elis well.
With Raphinha now seemingly on the verge of a move to Chelsea, Leeds will surely look to bring in another winger. It worked pretty well the last time they signed a speedy, fleet-footed winger from Ligue 1.
West Ham, meanwhile, will want depth in attack as they embark on another European campaign. Last season, that lack of depth hampered their form in the Premier League as they reached the Europa League semi-finals.
