Goal claim Tottenham will have to splash out an enormous £85million to sign Everton duo Richarlison and Anthony Gordon this summer. Numerous reports emerged on Monday that Everton are planning a double swoop.

Richarlison, 25, enjoyed a solid season in front of goal despite Everton’s poor form – finishing the campaign with 16 goal involvements in 33 league and cup appearances. He has been strongly linked with a move.

The likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal have all been looking at the Brazil international. Gordon, meanwhile, produced a breakthrough campaign after a loan at Preston – playing 40 times during 2021-22.

While his goals and assists were not enormously impressive, his tenacity and work rate is something Antonio Conte will have admired. At just 21, he is a real star for the future and under Conte, could shine in a Spurs shirt.

Reports came to the surface on Monday, linking Spurs to a double deal for both. Now, Goal report the London club would have to part with £15million shy of £100million – £60million on Richarlison, and £25million on Gordon.

It is a huge amount of cash for Spurs to pay on two players that might not even start. Gordon will almost certainly start on the bench should he join Spurs – while Richarlison will face a direct battle to start over Dejan Kulusevski.

However, Richarlison would do two jobs – offering cover out wide, and acting as back-up to Harry Kane. Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura could both depart this summer, which would ease the loss of cash on the Everton duo.

Harry Winks is also likely to be going in the opposite direction and if that is a permanent deal, again, the cost comes down. So, it is a lot of money, but they are both needed and it is not as expensive when the sales are considered.
