Christian Eriksen to Manchester United is growing increasingly likely after it emerged that the player isn’t considering a return to Tottenham Hotspur.
Eriksen has been linked with a fairytale return to North London for much of the summer transfer window.
In fact, it has been reported that the former Spurs playmaker would be interested in re-signing for the North Londoners, whom he left for Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan back in 2020.
But with the Denmark international proving he can still cut the mustard in the Premier League following a six-month spell at Brentford this past season, Tottenham were said to be keen on getting him back, too.
However, it looks like Manchester United are in the lead.
That’s because Sky Sports have reported that Eriksen is only considering a transfer to the Red Devils or a return to Brentford.
It appears as if Tottenham are not even in the equation and that’ll upset Conte.
After all, the Italian manager, who signed him once before, labelled Eriksen ‘amazing‘ earlier this year and remember, the Lilywhites do need someone of the Dane’s vintage.
A playmaker is essential for Spurs this summer, considering Harry Kane, their best goalscorer, is also their most creative player these days.
However, it’s not looking like it’ll be Eriksen to take up that role.
