Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Leeds United winger Raphinha.

Raphinha is one of the best wingers in the Premier League and has been superb for Leeds over the past two seasons, and his form and performances have attracted the attention of North London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham.

The Athletic reported earlier this week that both Arsenal and Tottenham are keen on signing the 25-year-old winger in the summer transfer window.

Barcelona are also claimed to be keen on Raphinha.

The Athletic have now reported that Arsenal signing Raphinha depends on an exit for fellow winger Nicolas Pepe.

Pepe wants to leave Arsenal, according to the report, which has added that the Gunners would be able to sign the £63,000-a-week (SalarySport) Raphinha only if they can offload the £140,000-a-week (Spotrac) Ivory Coast international.

Tottenham have advantage over Arsenal in Raphinha race

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur have the advantage over Arsenal in the race for Leeds United winger Raphinha.

Tottenham do not have to sell any player to sign the winger, while if the Gunners unable to move on Pepe, then they will not get the Leeds star.

Moreover, Spurs will play in the UEFA Champions League next season and also have a world-class manager in Antonio Conte who is a serial winner.
