CalcioMercatoWeb claim that Tottenham and Juventus have been told that a fee of £17million is enough to land themselves Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie. The two sides are set to do battle.

Udogie, 19, joined Udinese on loan from Hellas Verona last summer before a deal was made permanent recently. The talented lefty enjoyed a wonderful season in Serie A, having a hand in eight goals in 35 games from wing-back.

Both Juventus and Tottenham play with three at the back and wings backs. Little surprise, then, that both clubs want to sign Udogie. Reports claim Fabio Paratici has held talks with Udogie’s agents in London.

However, it might be Paratici’s old side Juventus that prevent Spurs from completing a move. They too are interested. The Pozzo family, who own Udinese, are requesting in the region of £17million for Udogie.

Tottenham told fee to land Udogie: £17million is brilliant value

He would be a stunning signing for just £17million. A player that is still in his teens but has already shown he has the quality to make an impact at Serie A level. He is one of the most-talented teenagers in the Serie A.

Perfectly suited for Antonio Conte’s Spurs on the left as a wing-back, Udogie is a bargain at less than £20million. If Spurs can get a deal done for him, then it is a no-brainer. But it leaves Spurs top heavy on the left.

They have brought in Ivan Perisic. They also have Sergio Reguilon and Ryan Sessegnon – but Reguilon is likely to go and Sessegnon might not be deemed good enough to start for the North London club.
