Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign Jarrod Bowen, and Michael Owen’s recent comments on the West Ham United star would encourage the Emirates Stadium faithful.
The Beautiful Game Podcast reported on June 11 that Arsenal are in talks to sign Bowen from Premier League rivals West Ham in the summer retransfer window.
The Gunners have reportedly opened contact with the representatives of the 25-year-old, who can play as a winger, forward or midfielder.
Bowen has been superb for West Ham and is now an England international.
The former Hull City star’s progress and development has really impressed former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Owen.
Michael Owen’s comments on Arsenal target Jarrod Bowen
Owen said about Bowen on Channel 4 last week, as transcribed by HITC Sport at the time: “He’s had such a good season. Not that many players that just totally change in their mid 20s and become unbelievable players.
“Don’t get me wrong, this season, he has just gone to a totally different level. I love the way he moves from out to in.”

Impressive
In our view, Jarrod Bowen has been brilliant for West Ham United and would be a good signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Now, of course, we do not expect the Hammers to sell Bowen on the cheap.
West Ham are likely to do all they can to keep the former Hull star and will not sell him if they do not want to.
What we can say is that Bowen would make Arsenal a better and more potent team.
The West Ham no. 20 scored 12 goals and gave 10 assists in 34 Premier League starts this past season.
Bowen also scored three goals and gave one assist in the Europa League.
