Michael Owen has praised Liverpool transfer target, Jarrod Bowen, and claimed that the West Ham forward has transformed into an ‘unbelievable’ player.
The West Ham winger made his England debut on Saturday, as the Three Lions suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Hungary in the UEFA Nations League.
Even though England produced an abject display in Budapest, it was a pretty encouraging performance from Bowen, who was probably his side’s best player on the day.
Nonetheless, it has been a memorable season for Bowen, who after hitting double figures in both goals and assists, is now attracting interest from clubs far and wide, including Liverpool, as reported by 90min.
Those at the London Stadium will, no doubt, do everything in their power to keep hold of the 25-year-old because, along with Declan Rice, he is one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Nonetheless, former England striker Owen is loving how the versatile goalscorer has changed and transformed in his mid-20s, as he told Channel 4.
“He’s had such a good season,” said Owen. “Not that many players that just totally change in their mid 20’s and become unbelievable players.
“Don’t get me wrong, this season, he has just gone to a totally different level. I love the way he moves from out to in.”

COULD LIVERPOOL SIGN BOWEN IF MANE LEAVES?
Liverpool fans across the world won’t like the noise coming out about Sadio Mane and how he could be heading for the exit door this summer.
The Reds did sign Luis Diaz during the January transfer window, but if Mane leaves, then those in the Anfield boardroom might have to dip into their pockets to find a replacement.
Could that player come in the former of Bowen? He certainly fits the bill and he is on Liverpool’s radar.
But this is where West Ham will be hopeful that Mane stays or those upstairs at the London Stadium put such a price tag on Bowen that it drives Liverpool away.
