Tottenham Hotspur want Bremer and a meeting may now be held with Torino to try and thrash out a deal.

Tottenham have already snapped up Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster on free transfers as Antonio Conte bolsters his squad.

A centre back is on Tottenham’s wish list but a deal for Inter Milan ace Alessandro Bastoni has been ruled out.

That means Fabio Paratici will be looking elsewhere and he could shop in the Italian market once again by going for Bremer.

Tottenham Hotspur want Bremer

Tottenham are ideally seeking a left-footed centre back but may have to compromise on that pursuit.

Bastoni, Pau Torres and Josko Gvardiol have all been linked with Tottenham but appear to be hugely expensive.

Tuttosport now claim that Tottenham sporting director Paratici has already offered €30million (£26million) plus bonuses for Bremer.

Torino want around €50million (£43million) for Bremer but an agreement somewhere in the middle may make sense.

It’s added that Paratici may now meet up with Torino sporting director Davide Vagnati this week to thrash out a deal.

AC Milan and Inter Milan are also keen but this meeting between Paratici and Vagnati could be crucial.

Bremer, 25, was named as the Best Defender in Serie A this season – the same award Cristian Romero won with Atalanta in the 2020-21 season.

The Brazilian has been praised as ‘exceptional’ by Fabrizio Romano and turned in impressive displays against the likes of Dusan Vlahovic.

Bremer seems ready for a big move away from Torino and it may well be that Tottenham swoop in to sign him.

Paratici knows the Italian market well – that’s how Tottenham landed deals for the likes of Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulsuevski.

All of those deals have strengthened Tottenham and you would have to trust that Bremer would follow suit if Tottenham can strike a deal soon.
